Job Description
We are looking for a Electrical Engineer to work on a part-time, contract basis as a Technical Writer. The selected candidate will prepare and review engineering documentation based on project requirements, technical discussions, and supporting materials.
This is a flexible, project-based opportunity suitable for professionals or recent graduates seeking additional work. Assignments will be provided as needed, and payment will be made according to the agreed contract terms.
Responsibilities
- Prepare professional engineering reports and technical documentation.
- Review engineering projects and supporting documents.
- Interpret engineering drawings, calculations, and technical information.
- Conduct technical research when required.
- Ensure documents are technically accurate and professionally written.
- Revise documents based on feedback.
- Deliver assigned work within agreed deadlines.
- Maintain confidentiality of all project information
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Good understanding of electrical engineering concepts.
- Excellent English writing skills.
- Ability to prepare clear and professional technical documents.
- Strong analytical and research skills.
- Reliable internet connection and computer.
- Ability to meet deadlines independently.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (B.E./B.Tech./B.Sc. Engineering or equivalent).
- Prior experience in technical writing, engineering documentation, or report preparation is an advantage but not mandatory.
- Strong command of written English.
- Ability to understand and interpret engineering concepts, calculations, drawings, and technical specifications.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and other Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet project deadlines.
- Experience with engineering software such as AutoCAD Electrical, ETAP, MATLAB/Simulink, or DIgSILENT PowerFactory is an added advantage but not required.
