Job Description

We are looking for a Electrical Engineer to work on a part-time, contract basis as a Technical Writer. The selected candidate will prepare and review engineering documentation based on project requirements, technical discussions, and supporting materials.


This is a flexible, project-based opportunity suitable for professionals or recent graduates seeking additional work. Assignments will be provided as needed, and payment will be made according to the agreed contract terms.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare professional engineering reports and technical documentation.
  • Review engineering projects and supporting documents.
  • Interpret engineering drawings, calculations, and technical information.
  • Conduct technical research when required.
  • Ensure documents are technically accurate and professionally written.
  • Revise documents based on feedback.
  • Deliver assigned work within agreed deadlines.
  • Maintain confidentiality of all project information

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Good understanding of electrical engineering concepts.
  • Excellent English writing skills.
  • Ability to prepare clear and professional technical documents.
  • Strong analytical and research skills.
  • Reliable internet connection and computer.
  • Ability to meet deadlines independently.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (B.E./B.Tech./B.Sc. Engineering or equivalent).
  • Prior experience in technical writing, engineering documentation, or report preparation is an advantage but not mandatory.
  • Strong command of written English.
  • Ability to understand and interpret engineering concepts, calculations, drawings, and technical specifications.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and other Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and meet project deadlines.
  • Experience with engineering software such as AutoCAD Electrical, ETAP, MATLAB/Simulink, or DIgSILENT PowerFactory is an added advantage but not required.
